Last October 25, selected students and teachers from Thailand who form part of the delegation of the The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation visited IMC along with the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Thailand Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, and Chargé d’Affaires of The Royal Thai Embassy Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya. They were welcomed by IMC School Director Teacher Angie Cadungog and Assistant School Director Teacher Marianne Rivera while the student delegates from YAVF were received by the IMC High School Student Council. The delegation was taken on a tour walkabout of the IMC Diego Silang School building. Each Thai student delegate was accompanied by an IMC student who showed them around and introduced them to other IMC students and classes from different levels. This was followed by an assembly at the IMC Multi-Purpose Hall where the Thai students and IMC students both gave performances. This was concluded with an exchange of mementos from the IMC Admin and the Thai delegation. The delegation then headed to the IMC Bayani Branch for the visit to the High School Department. Since the visit also coincided with the school celebration of Students Day, the Thai students joined in on the fun where they hopped from one classroom to another which was assigned a country theme ranging from Korea, Italy to USA. The classrooms had food booths, retails stores and photobooths. The tour ended with lunch where the delegates were served popular Filipino dishes such as pancit, puto and kakanin, which the Thai delegates enjoyed. Before the delegation left, hugs were exchanged between the Thai students and IMC students and new friendships have been made.
IMC is deeply honored to be part of the school visit of The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila. The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation is a non-profit organization under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The delegation recently came from China after which they visited the Philippines as part of their tour.
